The main exhibitors at the expo will be 20 local environmental protection departments, six environmental groups, and 70 domestic and foreign companies. Green products, such as textile goods made from recycled bottles, energy-saving hybrid cars, and dissolvable plastic containers will be featured at the expo. It will also educate the public about how to live a low-carbon lifestyle, reduce carbon emissions and recycle materials in their everyday lives. EPA Minister Shen Shu-hung said at a press conference that the government's role was not to set strict regulations, but to provide the public with sufficient information to help them make smart decisions.
