On Sunday the 26^th of September I have been to the Coastal Cleanup, a day to clean up beaches around the world and collect data about the collected items. Actually the Cleanup should have took place the weekend before, but because of the strong typhoon which hit Taiwan on that day the date was changed.

After gathering behind the City Hall we went to a beach near the Anping District. There were more people than I expected. Some even came there in big buses. The cleaning was quite easy, everyone took a bag, a pair of gloves and started to collect all kinds of rubbish from the beach. The collected items were gathered and counted. Everything took around 3 hours.

Unfortunately I had no time to take photos, it was finished before I expected. But some strange items were collected indeed, for examples a wine-bottle with a dead snake inside.
