On Monday this week we visited the last big habitat of the farmland green tree frog, a former Japanese sugar refinery.

It is a big area, with all kind of trees, a small river and remains of Japanese buildings.

Because of the heavy rain some time ago, parts of the area were still flooded. By the dirt on the side of the new built road through the area, you could see how high the water stood, nearly half a meter.

The government wants to use parts of the area to built houses, which would destroy most of the frogs habitat, a threatened species.
